About

To whom it may concern:

I’m an ambitious undergrad with a passion for all things feminine, feminist, lace and love, do it yourself, literary, political, fierce and independent. This blog is an outlet for me as I take on a summer living on my own in the city. It will document my struggles and successes with public transit, scouting out the perfect consignment shops, hopefully a love interest and conquering my new job.

    • Hey V!

Nope not Boston, a bit further south :) I’m attending Hollins University in Virginia. Major undecided but I’m looking into English, Communications, and Gender Women Studies. Anyways, I was in Washington, D.C. for part of the summer unfortunately I’m back now in the good ole North State now, but I loved the city. I can’t wait to get back next summer. What school are you studying at? My best friend is from the Birkshires, MA, about an hour outside Boston.

    • Hey! Thanks so much for the nomination. That’s so sweet. I’m so glad you didn’t stop blogging. Personally I haven’t known a lot of English students attending Uni here (although I attend a superrrr tiny uni) but I’ve met quite a lot of French, Asian, Jamaican and Nepali students. They seems to be doing fine, and are pretty well adjusted I’d say, (involved on campus just as much as the American students). Often times when students are from abroad and attending Uni over here the university will have international mentors, advisors and even housing to help them cope, connect and adjust. Whatever state-side universities you’re interested in, definitely check out if they offer those types of programs! Hope your college search goes well! And just let me know if you have any more questions I might be able to answer! xoxo, -E
